CAPE VERDE

Midway between Portugal and Brazil, the Cape Verde Islands are a perfect for beach or mountain holidays.

Cape Verde brings some fantastic luxury hotels, apartments and villas for truly memorable holidays.

The Cape Verde islands are 50 million years old and are volcanic in origin.

The Eastern islands of Sal, Boa Vista and Maio are drier and flatter with spectacular beaches. As you go further West, the islands become more mountainous and have more vegetation. Santiago, Santo Antao, Fogo and Brava are higher and greener. Most of the agriculture in Cape Verde is on these islands.

Some islands, like Sao Vicente and Sal are more developed than other islands such as Maio or Boa Vista. The island of Santa Luzia is uninhabited, and is a nature reserve, where many rare species live.

It is well worth exploring the various islands as they all have their own merits and island hopping can be done by boat or by air.

The weather is wonderful in Cape Verde. The sun spreads its warmth the whole year round, soothed by the fresh sea breeze. The climate is tropical and dry. The average temperature is approximately 25°C and changes do not exceed 10°C.

The Cape Verde Islands are a great place for surfing, scuba diving, kite surfing and marlin fishing.
